If you would prefer to return the next day to finish your jewellery yourself, learning traditional silversmithing techniques such as filing, sanding and polishing, you'll need to book our Two-Day Lost Wax Workshop instead.

Book the Two-Day Workshop here

Wax is a soft, forgiving material that allows you to shape, carve and refine your design with ease. Our jewellers will guide you throughout the process so you can confidently create something that feels personal and beautifully made.

During the workshop you can:

  • Create a clean, minimal design or explore texture and sculptural forms.
  • Press your fingerprint into your piece.
  • Carve a more detailed or organic design.
  • Add gemstones, which can be professionally set after casting.

Once your wax model is complete, we cast it into solid sterling silver using the traditional lost wax casting process. Your design is encased in a mould, the wax is melted away, and molten silver is poured into its place, creating an exact silver replica of your original carving.

This process produces crisp details, refined edges and a level of precision that isn't possible with faster casting methods. The result is a beautifully crafted piece with the weight, finish and presence of fine jewellery.

Important Information

Your finished jewellery will be ready for collection after 1:00 pm the following day. If your design includes gemstones, additional setting time may be required. Please discuss your travel plans with your jeweller if you have a deadline.

If you're looking for a workshop where you leave with your jewellery on the same day, our Sand Casting Workshop or Ring Band making workshop which can be completed in a single session.
